Just like from a fresh batch of home-made chocolate chip cookies, it fills the entire house, and it smells irresistible. But hey, we will let you decide if it actually tastes as good as it smells. That’s right, I’m glad to say that we are finally ready to roll out our beta, and will be doing so over the period of next several days. We’ll be doing a rolling release, so if you signed up for beta testing, expect an email from us in the next few days!
On that note, earlier today I came across an amazing ‘RSS in plain English’ video done by folks at Common Craft. It is definitely one the best explanations of the concept I’ve seen to date. Heck, I think my grandma would get it! Without further ado:

You are right - a great summary!
I will be sending it to a few people who need help! Thanks for posting it.
Bryan, glad you found it useful! You might also want to check out a couple of recent posts by Robert Sanzalone. Great stuff there as well!
The words are Plain English and the drawings are easy to understand. However, my grandmother would never understand the idea of RSS feeds by watching this video.
I showed the video to my mother and she didn’t get it. Pictures were flying left and right together with technical jargon that she had no time to remember or understand before something else was flickering across the screen, demanding her attention and exposing her to yet another round of technobabble.
Whoever made this video clearly has ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). I think the video could be a great introduction to RSS feeds if it had a different narrator.
